The Challenge: The Gallery Problem
Photography portfolios often suffer from two extremes: they are either too cluttered with text or too heavy to load. The challenge was to build a digital gallery that felt "invisible"—where the interface receded to let the photography speak—while maintaining high performance for heavy image assets. We also needed a system to promote rotating physical exhibitions.
The Solution: Immersive Narrative
We utilized Framer’s advanced layout capabilities to create a "Microworlds" exhibition page that breaks the standard grid, creating a storytelling flow. The site features a darker, moody aesthetic to pop the colors of the macro photography. A dynamic CMS structure allows the studio to update albums and exhibition dates without touching the code, ensuring the site remains a living canvas.
